Nelda Freeman

Nelda Ruth Freeman, of Chattanooga, and Alpharetta, Ga., passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014, from complications of the lung cancer she had been battling for the past year. She was married to Thomas D. Freeman, deceased. She is survived by her three children, Vicki Blanton, of Union City, Tenn., Kim Holgate, of Cumming, Ga., and Allen Freeman, of Johns Creek, Ga. She leaves five grandchildren, Allyn Hooks, Sean Blanton, Liz Whitley, Jackson Holgate and Ashley Holgate as well as four great-grandchildren, Addison Hooks, Alisha Cecil, McKenna Blanton and Henry Blanton. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, at Southcare Funeral, 2260 Old Milton Parkway, Alpharetta, Ga.
