Lillie Faw

Lillie May "Linda" Faw, 93, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014, at a local health care facility. She was a native of Boaz, Ala., and had lived most of her life in the Rossville area. Mrs. Faw was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a ministers wife for 48 years and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Her passions in life were God, enjoying her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, the Rev. B.W. Faw; parents, Floyd and Flowrence Smith; sister, Norma Jean Smith; and granddaughter, Tiffany Faw. Survivors include her children, LeBron (Peggy) Faw and Lynda (Edward) Henry; sister, Kathleen Murray; grandchildren, Teneara Faw, Nikki (Rodney) Buchanan, and Josh (Kelly) Henry; great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Malia Buchanan and Bishop and Reed Henry; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and caregivers at NHC of Fort Oglethorpe and also to Avalon Hospice. Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today in the South Crest Chapel with Rev. Dan Gilchrist officiating. Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family receive friends from 11 a.m. today until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
