Lucille Elkins

Lucille Frances Elkins, 91, Crystal River, Fla., formerly of Fort Oglethorpe, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 20, 2014. She has a longtime resident of the North Georgia area and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Elkins was born Fort Payne, Ala., June 30, 1922, a daughter of the late William Henry and Emma Agnes Wooten. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Earl Elkins; and by her seven siblings. Survivors are her loving and caring daughters, Joy (Eddie) Wilson and Carolyn -James Rabun, of Crystal River, Fla.; a sister, Inez Uhl of Mt. Olive, Ala.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Billy Dean officiating. Interment in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
