Edna Blevins

Edna Lorene Adkins Blevins, 94, passed away Wednesday evening April 22, 2015, at Dade Health and Rehab. She was retired from the Trenton Spinning Mill and was a charter member of Rising Fawn Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph M. Blevins; parents, Jess and Cornelia Castleberry Adkins; sisters, Hassie Ramsey, Martha Gifford, and Lillian Steele; and one brother, Robert Adkins. Surviving include her children; daughter Patricia (Dale) Brown, of Rainesville, Ala.; two sons, Tommy (Laura) Blevins, of Rising Fawn, Ga., and Ronnie (Glenda) Blevins, of Lookout Mountain, Ga.; grandchildren, Sherry Ann Blevins, of New York, N.Y., Danny Ray (Barbara) Blevins, Michele Richardson, Michael Richardson and Melanie Richardson; great-grandchildren, Rhiannon (Phillip) York, Megan Foster, Brittney Blevins, Tristan Huggins, Piper Huggins and Bodie Huggins; great-great-grandchildren, Levi Foster and Wesley York, one brother, John Wesley "J.W." (Mae) Adkins; also several nieces, nephews; and a host of friends. Memorial contributions can be made to Rising Fawn Church of God Building Fund. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday April 26, 2015, in the chapel with Rev. Chris Hagler, Rev. Tommy Crider, and Rev. Dean Sims officiating. Interment will follow in Deer Head Cove Cemetery.
