Charles Murphy III

Mr. Charles Austin Murphy III, 77, passed away Thursday August 27, 2015. He was born in Brockton, Mass., on Jan. 20, 1938 to Charles Austin Murphy II and Josephine Ann Milenski Murphy who preceded him in death. He was a US Air Force veteran and a Minister for the Methodist Church and a Hospice Chaplan. He attended the House of the Lord Church in Palmer. He is survived by his wife, Crista Murphy; son, Russell Charles Murphy, of Palmer; daughters, Betsy (Brad) Graves, Spring City, Tenn.; and Kathleen (Craig) McMillan, Dandridge, Tenn.; brother, Steven Francis Murphy, Abington, Mass.; grandchildren, Scooter (Heather) Graves, Cody (Melissa) Graves, Casey and Murphy McMillan; great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Beckett Graves; aunts, Adele Dombowski and Mary Griffin, both of Massachusetts. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015 at the House of The Lord Church in Palmer with Minister Ronnie Partin officiating and Military Honors provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. Visitation: 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the Church. Burial will be the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 2 p.m. EDTFriday, Sept. 4, 2015.
