Catherine Bertrand

Catherine Bertrand, 95, of Alexian Village, Signal Mountain, died on Friday, Jan. 30, 2015. She was born in Hancock, Mich. on July 30, 1919. Graduate of Ontonagan, Michigan High School in 1936 and University of Kentucky in 1940. She was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Retired from TVA after 40 years of service. Survivors include nephews, Ray Scherer, of Nashville, and Steve Scherer and wife, Patti, of Dickson, Tenn.; nieces, Mary Ann Kenik and husband, Ed, of Jacksboro, Tenn. and Carolyn Gillespie, and husband, Donnie, of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; great-nephews, Michael Kenik and wife, Michelle, of Knoxville, and Ryan Scherer and wife, Meghan, of Harrison; and great-niece, Faith Butler and husband, Mike, of Charlotte, Tenn.
