Haven Brown

Haven Elizabeth Hisey Brown, born in Chattanooga, was a loving wife, mother and dear friend to those who knew her. Unfortunately she passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, following a brief illness. She was 59 years old. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John Paul Hisey Sr. and Hettie Hisey Pullen, Henry Cook Peeples and Laura Woodbridge Peeples; father, Franz Lamar "Bo" Hisey; aunts and uncles, Mary Belle Peeples Raulston and Dr. William R. Raulston, Lt. Col. Paul Ader and Cicely Peeples Ader, Rebecca Atchely Hisey and John Paul Hisey Jr.; cousins, Barbara Lou Raulston Moon, Julia Woodbridge Oxrieder and Billy and Bobby Woodbridge and Dolores Feeney Brown. She attended N.W. Missouri State University where she was president of Perrin Hall dormitory and also leader of the IRC (Inter Residence Council). She graduated in 1984 from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a bachelor of arts degree in communications. She is survived by her husband, William J. "Billy" Brown; daughter, Jordan Katherine Brown and Collin Alexander Brown; mother, Laurel "Lollie" Peeples Hisey; brother, Hal Emerson Hisey; brother-in-law, Robert "Bob" Brown; aunt, Pat Raulston; and 14 cousins. A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at 11 a.m. Mourners are asked to contribute to Hospice of Chattanooga in lieu of flowers.
