Gladys Webb

Gladys Marie Webb, 76, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, in a local hospital. She was a member of New Covenant Baptist Church, and VFW #3679 in Fort Oglethorpe. She was a retired bus attendant for Walker County Schools after 23 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer J. and Clara Mae Parden Guffey; and her husband, James P. Webb; and a sister, Carolyn Hicks; and a brother, James Guffey. She is survived by a daughter, Angela (Scott) Carden, Rossville; and one brother, Harold Guffey; and a grandson, Steven Webb, all of Rossville. Mike Gregg officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or Ronald McDonald House, 200 Central Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37403.
