James Latham, Jr.

James Latham Jr. SMSGT James Milton Latham Jr., of Sale Creek, was born into this life April 7, 1940, in Chattanooga. On Sunday, June 28, 2015, he went to be with the Lord and his parents, Ruth Carson and James M. Latham Sr. Mr. Latham honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for 3o years. During that time he received numerous awards including the Presidential Meritorious Service Medal. Mr. Latham is survived by his wife of 28 years, Edna Latham; daughter, Nikki (Jeron) Couch; grandchildren, Braden James and Addison Jo, Couch; sisters, Carol L. (Bill) Davis of Chattanooga and Sheila A. Mortensen, of Pensacola, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at the graveside at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
