Katherine Rebecca "Katie" Potts Quinn, 72, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015, at the Sheltering Arms Home in Palmer, Tenn. She was born in Vienna, Ill., on Jan. 6, 1943, to Joe and Bethel Simmons Potts, who preceded her in death along with her husband, Jerry Quinn; sisters, Josie Marie Keeler, Helen Hollenger, June Buck, Mavie Rasmussen and Janie Potts. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Barton, Elgin, Ill.; sister, Audrey Combs, Mayflower, Ark.; brothers, Rev. John (Annetta) Potts, Whitwell, Tenn., and Joe (Gloria) Potts, Elgin; grandchildren, Jerry Lynn and Doug "Pudge" Barton; several nieces and nephews. Visitation: 5-9 p.m. today, July 27, at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery in Vienna, Ill., on Wednesday, July 29, with Brother John Potts officiating.
