Evelyn Reese

Evelyn Juliette "Judy" Reese, 66, of Chattanooga, crossed over into eternity with Christ on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, in the comfort of her own home. During her servanthood, Evelyn diligently volunteered in the Hamilton County School System, her community and church until the Lord called her home. In her day, she was a top Avon Sales Representative, devoted mother, a loving grandmother. Evelyn was a comitted Christian, who did her utmost to instill the ironclad principles of her faith into the lives of all those she encountered. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen A. Reese; brother, Ralph Shropshire; and adopted mother, Dorothy Rucker. Survivors are her mother, Margaret Johnson; her sons, Jeffery (Harriet) Shropshire, Tony Todd and Bobby Woods Jr.; her daughers, Rosalind (Chris)Mussared, Daphne (Aaron) McCrary, Anjail (David)Berninger Jr.; Nadiyah Gibbs and Mandie Crisp; her brothers, Edward Shropshire, George Shropshire and David Shropshire; her sister, Jacqueline "Jackie" Bell; her grandchildren, Romeo Gibbs, Anahi "Hope" Berninger, Darrius Akridge, Remiah McCrary, JohnRoss, Tonika Todd, Shaylind Nance, Wendall Nance, Tushena Johnson, Leaunna Wills, Wesley Crisp and Lyndsey Crisp. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today, March 3, 2015, at Northside Presbyterian Church with Dr. Paul Rader officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park Cemetery. The family is asked to assemble at the funeral home today at noon for procession to the church for services.
