Aubrey Wood Jr.

Aubrey William Wood Jr., 60, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015, in a local healthcare facility surrounded by his family. Aubrey was a kind and loving father, grandfather and brother whom will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a master auto mechanic and owned many auto repair shops. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey Wood Sr. and Elizabeth Espy Wood; sister, Patricia Payne. Survivors include his daughter, Jeanne Griggs and husband, David; son, Robert Moore and wife, Donnette; grandchildren, Austin and Jodi Hardin, Robert and McClain Moore; siblings: Larry (Marcie) Wood, Jim (Jeanne) Espy, Maria (Ferris) Hart and David Wood; nephews, David Fairchild, Troy Fairchild, Danny Hart; niece, Rachel Wood; several great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015, in the Advantage Chapel with Pastor Ray Williams of One Accord Community Church officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
