Marie Orr

Marie Dell Orr, 77, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 22, 2015, at her residence. Marie was born in Ft. Payne, Ala., but spent the majority of her adult life as a Chattanooga resident, where she raised her three beloved daughters alongside her husband of 55 years, Woodie McCain Orr. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved cooking, gardening, sewing, and fishing. She was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church and retired from Shaw Industries. A visitation will be held today at Valley View Chapel from 1-5 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway, Chattanooga.
