Rev. Albert Austin

Rev. Albert "Preacher" Austin, Sr., 78, passed away Oct. 1, 2015, in a local hospital. He retired from Brock Candy Co. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Cora Eubanks Austin; daughter, Cynthia Ann Austin; sons, Norris Lee and Kelvin Jerome Austin. Survivors include his children, Albert Austin Jr., Patrick Austin and Melissa Austin; sister, Ozella Garrett; other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, in the Chapel with Rev. Jimmie Ingram officiating. Interment in Highland Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
