Essie Higgins

Essie P. Womack Higgins, 92, of the Griffith Creek Community, took her heavenly flight Monday, Aug. 31, 2015. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by husband, Herbert Higgins; son, Don Higgins; parents, Thomas and Clercie Blackwell Womack; nine brothers; three sisters; grandchildren, Ricky Wayne and Colleen Floyd; one great-grandchild, Natasha Higgins. She is survived by son, Charles (Louise) Higgins; daughter, Kathleen (Tommy) Floyd; daughter-in-law, Emma Higgins; grandchildren, Renee (Gary) Miller, Loria (Gary) Bragg, Vince Floyd, Eva (Donald) Patterson, Don (Pete) (Felecia) Higgins, Dennis (Amanda) Floyd, Tim (Debbie) Higgins, Shannon (James) Haskew, Frank (Dawn) Higgins; 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 2 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Brothersd Danny Chance and Tony King officiating. Burial will be in Griffith Creek Cemetery.
