Hilma Story

Hilma Story, 92, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Aug. 31, 2015. She had lived in Columbus, Ga., til just a couple of months ago. She was a former employee of Cutters Laboratory in Chattanooga and has been involved in Accounting and Bookkeeping until 18 months ago. Mrs. Story enjoyed her work and loved to cook. Hilma was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her loving daughters, Shirley Wilson and Beverly ( Weldon) Hise, of Ringgold, family friend Harold Phillips, of Ringgold; sister, Jean Reese and a brother, Jeffrey Blankenship, of Columbus, Ga.; grandchildren, Amanda (Roger) Burt, of Dalton, Alana (Donnie) Smith, of California, and David (Tonya) Wilson, of Flintstone, Ga. Great-grandchildren Austin, Abbie, and Eli Burt, Emerson Smith and Aaron Wilson. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Lakewood Memory Gardens South with Rev. Mike Sims. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
