Steve Whitt, 65, lost his battle with cancer on Aug. 31, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Mary Whitt; children, Angie Whitt, of Chattanooga, Shawnna Whitt, of Chattanooga, Andy Whitt, of Chattanooga; stepchildren, Sheri (Bradley) Allen, of Hollywood, Ala.; grandchildren, Cetera Searcy, of Chattanooga, Cody Sims, of Bridgeport, Ala., Christian Whitt, of Chattanooga, Caleb Andrew Reed, of Chattanooga; stepgrandchildren, Madison Allen, of Hollywood, Ala., Haley Allen, of Hollywood, Ala.; siblings, Tommy (Charlotte) Whitt, of Chattanooga, James "Jimbo" Whitt of Chattanooga, Tim (Vivian) Whitt, of Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Eugene and Louise Whitt; and brother, Gary Edward Whitt. The family will receive friends Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Hollis Memorial Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, at Hollis Memorial Chapel with Rev. Donna King officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. CDT, 3 p.m. EDT at Chattanooga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
