Mary Thornhill

Mary Elizabeth Thornhill, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016, in a local hospital. Mary was employed with Kleen A-Matic for over 30 years. She was a member of Mt. Paran Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Thornhill and Mary Thornton; sister, Lina Thornhill. She leaves to reflect her memory a devoted cousin, Daniel Paul Thornhill; god-daughter, Valerie J. Thomas; god-niece, Sandra Kirby and family; several cousins; devoted friends, Annell Thornhill and Mary Ann Ross. The funeral service will be held at noon, Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, at Mt. Paran Baptist Church on Moss Street. Interment in Chattanooga Memorial Park. The body will lie in state after noon today, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
