Lawanda Rutherford

Lawanda Wallin Rutherford, 77, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016. LaWanda was retired from Moccasin Bend Hospital and attended Community Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her late husband of 56 years, Charles Velton Rutherford and her parents, James and Virginia Wallin. Lawanda is survived by her daughter, Glenda Nose; son, Tony (Kathy) Rutherford; grandchildren, Cassie Rutherford, Zachary Rutherford, Katy and Dakota Nose; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Rutherford and Bentley Wilson; sisters, Brenda Nalley, Charlotte Childers; brother, Kenneth (Lydia) Wallin and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Services for Lawanda will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, at the North Chapel with Rev. Teddy Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Zachary Rutherford, Dakota Nose, Blake Wilson, Stacy Wallin, Jeff Nalley and William Kean.
