James Brotbeck

James Brotbeck, 84, of Chattanooga, passed away in his home on Dec. 17, 2016. He along with his wife, owned and operated The Printer until their retirement in 1997. He was a member of First Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Inez Brotbeck; three brothers, John, Daniel, and Charlie Brotbeck; and three sons, Rick, John, and Steve Newsom. He is survived by his wife, Jimmye; daughter, Lynda (John) Rogers; brother, William Brotbeck; grandchildren, John (Stephanie) Pharr, Samantha Pharr and Michelle Newsom; great-grandchildren, Tristin McKelvy, Madison and Coltin Pharr. The family would like to thank our friends, neighbors, pastors and the staff at Amedisys Hospice for their support and prayers. When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation and take me home what joy shall fill my heart. Then I shall bow with humble adoration and then proclaim my God "How great Thou Art." Jim was a kind, gentle and Godly man, an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. Psalms 139:1-18. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, at 11:30 a.m., at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family requests that condolences be sent to the home.
