Georgia Fox

Georgia Fox, 89, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016. She was the widow of the late Lewis T. Fox, and was of the Baptist Faith. She was a telephone operator in Ballground, Ga., where she had to wear the headphones and use the plug in board. Later, she was a counter sinker at Bell Air Craft (Lockheed) in Marietta where she worked on the bombers used in World War II. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis T. Fox; and son, William R. Fox. She is survived by two sons, Larry Paul Fox, of Ringgold, and Bryan Lewis Fox, of Elijay, Ga.; daughter, Cheryl Griffin, of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Don Shipman officiating. Interment will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday, from 4-9 p.m., at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
