Chuck Honeycutt

Charles T. "Chuck" Honeycutt, 55, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016, at a local hospital. Chuck was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area and was known to sit on his front porch off of North Terrace waving at traffic and enjoying the outdoors. Chuck attended Calvary Independent Baptist Church and had worked for Home Depot at Hamilton Place and was currently working as a vendor at the East Ridge Gray Barn Flea Market. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving in the 1980s receiving several commendations including an overseas service ribbon with a Bronze Star. Chuck was an avid TN Vol fan and he enjoyed collecting vintage toy figurines. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Leigh Honeycutt. Survivors include his wife, Vickie Honeycutt; two stepchildren, Dee Dee Wilkins and Tony Croucher; father, Charles E. Honeycutt; brothers, Shane, Scott, Woody, and Steve Honeycutt; sisters, Tiffany Patterson and Jennifer Parks; and several nieces, nephews; aunts; uncles; and cousins. Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com. Funeral services will be held Friday, at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel. Interment will be held Monday, at 10:30 a.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery, with Military Honors. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
