Allen Bloodworth

Allen Thomas Bloodworth, 77, passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016. He was born in Thomasville, Ga. to the late Earney Freeman Bloodworth and Catherine Benton Bloodworth. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was of the Presbyterian Faith. He resided his childhood in Thomasville, Ga. and was a former resident of Hutcheson, Kan. and Lilburn, Ga. He was the owner of Lenders Recovery Services. He enjoyed gardening and working in agriculture from his childhood, where he raised his award winning cow for Thomas County Future Farmers of America in 1954 and in 1955 harvested the most amount of peanuts on an acre of land. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sons, Broc and Greg Bloodworth; sisters, Grace Dean, Dot Brown, Joyce Hampton; and brother,Leon Talmadge Bloodworth. He is survived by his companion, Debra Beaver, of LaFayette, Ga., children, Ken Bloodworth, of Holcomb, Kan., Kathy (Phil) McAnulty, of Overbrook, Kan., Julie (Mike) Casey, of Overland Park, Kan., Suzie (Chris) Eads, of Rantoul, Kan., Amy Nell (John) Burton, of Raymore, Mo., Allen "Jay" Thomas Bloodworth. of Kansa City, Mo., Lindsey (Brian) Kilgo, of LaFayette, Ga.; brother, Alvin "Chip" Bloodworth, of Acworth, Ga.; grandchildren, Nicholas, Jonathan, Victoria Bloodworth, Shelby Molt, Brandon (Keisha) Statler, Rachel, Jacob, Allie, Kelsie, Carson, Quentin, Zachary Eads, Braxton, Brayden, and Brycen Kilgo; great-grandchildren, Izzy, Maddy Grace, Mallory Molt, several nieces; and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, in the funeral home chapel, with Wayne Lindsey, Lloyd Davis and Linda Barineau. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at Little Ochlocknee Cemetery in Ochlocknee, Ga. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Homes, LaFayette Chapel.
