Christine Byrd

Christine R. Byrd, 86, of Chattanooga, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at her home. Christine was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, and was a member of Delray Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late, Eli and Hazel Blevins Roden. Survivors include her husband, Buddy Byrd; two sons, Eddie Byrd and Michael Dewayne Byrd; daughter, Karen (Ed) Jacobs; two brothers, Teddy Roden and Clinton Roden; two sisters, Wynnona Brown and Mary Violet Moyers; one grandchild, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at National Cemetery, with Reverend Randy Chestnutt and Rev. Roger DeHart officiating.
