Lillie McKamey

Lillie McKamey, 86, of Rossville, Ga., and formerly of Chattanooga, died Sunday, May 22, 2016. She was born Jan. 14, 1930 in Chattanooga, to the late George and Janie Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, James K. McKamey; great-grandson, Ryan Campbell; and siblings Viola, Ernest, James and Edith. Mrs. McKamey was very active in the American Legion Post 159. She volunteered at the veterans clinic and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church. Survivors include her sons, Donald (Yvonne) Campbell, T. Wayne (Carol) McKamey, and Michael R. (Mary Ann) McKamey; eight grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, from the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, with Rev. Ronald Ragon officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
