Aliene Wicker

Ruby (Aliene) Wicker, 83, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday Oct. 21, 2016. A native of Sweetwater, Tenn., Mrs. Wicker was a longtime resident of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. She was a member of Scott Memorial Church of God and was a hairdresser in her home for over 45 years. Other than her family, Aliene’s true loves were playing the piano and her church. She was a friend to everybody and a hostess to the world. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orvle L. Wicker; parents, Thomas L. Sr. and Lillie Drake; brothers and sisters, Thelma Vance, Edna Baecher, Mary Monjar, Thomas L. Drake Jr., James F. Drake and J.W. Drake. She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Larry) Parks, Chattanooga; two sisters, Louise (Reed) Gardner, Loudon, Tenn., and Trudy (Tom) Gardner, Ball Ground, Ga.; special niece, Pam Wyrick, Canton, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Monday, Oct. 24, at noon in the Sweetwater Memory Chapel, Sweetwater, TN with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.
