Valerie Underwood

Valerie Kimberly Renee Underwood, 56, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, in a local hospital. She was a 1978 graduate of Kirkman High School and also graduated from Brown College. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Mae Underwood. Valerie was a wonderful and loving mother who left three loving children to cherish her memory; , Jocelyn (Jesse) Moorer and Adarius (Maria) Underwood, Tumeka Haney; father, Earl Erwin; and brother, Michael Underwood; five grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, at 3 p.m., at Lakewood Memorial Gardens, South. The body will lie in state Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Advantage Funeral Home Chapel. Bishop Perry Beck is the officiant.
