Nina Alford

Nina Marie Alford, 87, of Chattanooga, went to be with her lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. She was a charter member of Gateway Baptist Church and was a talented musician and loved serving her lord through music and song. She retired from Memorial Hospital as a L.P.N., loved everybody and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Elbert and Lonie Manning; husband and love of her life for 57 years, Frank Alford; son, Steven Wayne Alford; two sisters, Elsie Mealor and Mary Frances Brown; brother, Elbert Manning. She is survived by her children, Charlotte Alford, Treena Dobbins and special son-in-law, Tim Dobbins; two stepgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews; one special niece, Frances Chambers. Family will receive friends on Saturday , April 22, and Sunday, April 23, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 24, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Denny Manning and Rev Jack Key officiating.
