Lori Taylor

FORT OGLETHORPE — Lori Harper Taylor, 52, formerly of Palatka, Fla., passed away after a long illness at her home with her beloved husband Marty, by her side on Easter Sunday April 16, 2017. She was a valued employee at Chattanooga Outpatient Center as an EEG and EMG technologist and OSHA Coordinator for 27 years where she was loved and respected by all there. She is missed by her special friends there, Dr. Bruce Caplan and Dr. Tarik Kadri. Lori had a love for gardening and decorating. She was born Dec. 3, 1965, to her parents, Grover C. and Frances Harper of Palatka, Fla., who preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Marty Taylor; daughter, Marley; and grandson, Lennox, of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; siblings, Debra (Jack) Vickers, of Darien, Ga., Patti (Hal) Cason, Ronald Harper, Larry (Betty) Harper, Paul Harper, of Palatka Fla.; nieces and nephews. Her family here include mother-in-law, Austine (Rich) Bowman, father-in law, Roy (Lynn) Taylor; sister and brother-in-laws, Cindy (Gary) Madgett, Sheila (Mike) Gowan, and Cathy (Craig) Bloodworth; nieces and nephews. Lori’s wishes were to be taken back to her family in Florida and to the beach one last time. A memorial service will be held on St. Augustine Beach, April 29, 2017.
