BRYANT — Helen Joyce Higdon, 78, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017. She had worked as a bus driver for Bryant Junior High and member of Hooker Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Dairl Higdon; infant son, Billy Dairl Higdon, Jr.; parents, Bill and Lilly Mae Haswell Drew; step-dad, Bob White; grandparents, Odie and Mae Haswell; great-grandmother, Cora Berry. Survivors include her daughter, Connie L. Higdon (Manuel) Whited; son, Rickey Dairl (Sherry J. Smith) Higdon; brothers, Bud Drew and Floyd Earl Drew; four grandchildren, Robyn L. Higdon Byrum, John Ryan Higdon, Durand Whited and Darrell Whited; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. EDT Thursday, April 27, 2017, in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Reggie Byrum officiating. Burial will be held in Hooker Cemetery.
