Hershel Shadwick

Hershel M. Shadwick, 93, of Soddy-Daisy died Wednesday, April 26, 2017. He was born Sept. 23, 1923, in Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., to the late Rufus and Belle Shadwick. He was a World War II veteran. Mr. Shadwick was a member of Daisy Church of God where he served as clerk for 33 years. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, June Shadwick; sons, Steve (Judy) Shadwick and David (Julia) Shadwick; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 29, at 11 a.m. in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Caleb Bolton officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
