Earl Laws

Earl James Laws, Jr. 76, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017. Born on Nov. 6, 1940, in Knoxville, Tenn., to the late Bertha Brannum and Earl Laws Sr. He has been a resident of the Chattanooga area for the past 28 years and a member of Eastwood Church. Earl was a fan of NASCAR and Tennessee Vols football. He loved his grandkids, especially playing Legos with Matthew (grasshopper). He was preceded in death by his brothers, Randy and Dale Laws. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Ethel Laws; son, Jeff (Becky) Laws; brother, Gary (Carolyn) Laws; grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Brittany and Matthew; along with three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Thursday at Eastwood Church with Pastor Bill Spencer officiating. Interment will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
