Stanley Grodzki

RINGGOLD — Stanley R. Grodzki, 69, passed away Aug. 10, 2017. Stanley was born in Paterson, N.J. After graduating from Toms River High School he joined the U.S. Marine Corps., in June 1967. He was deployed to Vietnam where he received the Purple Heart Medal while serving with the First Reconnaissance Battalion First Marine Division. He received the award for wounds sustained in combat in Vietnam. Stanley known to some as POLOCK was a great cook. He had a heart of gold and would give his last dollar to feed anyone and help out a veteran in need OORAH !!! He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and John "Pop" Carrigan; brother, Max Thomas; father, Chester Grodzki. Stanley is survived by his wife of 23 years, Darlene Grodzki; sisters, Genevieve Grow; brother-in-law and friend, David Grow; sister, Bernice Cloos; brother, Bill Carrigan; sister-in-law, Marilyn Carrigan, sister-in-law, Doris Thomas; two stepdaughters, Heather Qualls and Stacie Cutler; his grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service at Chattanooga National will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home-Wallis Stewart Chapel, Ringgold.
