Jeffrey Reader

Jeffrey Maxwell Reader, 61, passed away Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017. He was born in Spokane Wash. to Arthur and Pat Reader. Jeffrey served his country for 10 years in the Air Force as well as 10 more years in the National Guard. During his time he received numerous awards and medals. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Reader; daughter, Abbie Middleton. Survived by wife, Nelta Reader; son, Justin Reader; daughter, Katie (Daniel) Hagaman; Marta (John) Church; mother, Pat Reader; siblings, Janet (John) Saari; Debbie (Elliott Furst) Reader; Michael Reader; ex-wife, Karen Reader; grandchildren, Jackson, Joseph, and Alexandria Hagaman, Maggie Middleton, Skyler Crye, and Claire Church; along with several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Avalon Hospice, in lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations to the America Cancer Society or charity of your choice. There will be a service held at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Monday Aug. 21, 2017, at noon.
