Donald Avans
TRENTON — Donald Avans, 78, died Monday evening, Dec. 11, 2017.
He was a graduate of Davis High School, class of 1957 and was a Carpenter and an Insurance Agent with Liberty National for many years. Mr. Avans was an avid horseman and a member of the
AQHA. He also helped organize the Davis Fire Department. Mr. Avans was of the Baptist faith and a member of the White Oak Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Euna Smith Avans; wife, Reba Avans; great-granddaughter, Samara Powell; two sisters, Charlcie Cloud and Patricia Phillips.
Surviving include his daughter, Susan Annette Cerutti; fiancé, Pat Tinker; sisters, Charlotte
Richard and Neocia Bolton; brothers, Ronald Avans and Larry Avans; three grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel with Rev. Lonnie Denny
Officiating. Interment will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Ryan Funeral Home in Trenton, GA.
