Jeanette Gibson

ROSSVILLE — Mrs. Jeanette Gibson, 79, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017. She was a native of Dayton, Tenn., and had lived most of her life in the Chickamauga and Rossville area and was a member of the Temple Baptist Church. Her passions in life were her family, gardening, and watching the birds eat in her yard. She was a loving wife, mother, and granny who was always there for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford R. Gibson; and granddaughter, Kristy McDaniels. Survivors include her children, Rickey Gibson, of Rossville; Kenneth (Karen) Gibson, of Senoia, Ga., and Sherry (Jimmy) Evans, of Rossville; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Ken Herring officiating. Interment will be in the TN-GA Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
