Juliet Nite

Juliet McBroom Nite, 91 of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, surrounded by family. She was born Dec. 19, 1926, in Chattanooga to the late Thomas Andrew and Mary Ida McBroom. Mrs. Nite was a member of Concord Baptist Church and served many years alongside her late husband, the Rev. Dr. Ralph A. Nite Sr. at Centropolis Baptist Church in Kansas City, Mo. She was an accomplished artist and beloved for her music and humor. Her son, Ralph Nite Jr. and sister, Peggy Jorges preceded her in death. Survivors include her children, Thomas Andrew (Deborah) Nite, of Ringgold, Georgia, James Timothy (Sue) Nite, of Naples, Fla., George P. (Kathy) Nite, of Charleston, Mo., John David (Carol) Nite, of Franklin, Tenn., and Susan (Terry) Chasteen, of Olathe, Kan.; sister, Martha Ramseur, of Longview, Fla.; 20 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel with Juliet’s family officiating. Mrs. Nite will be laid to rest with her husband in the Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
