Marvin Swafford

Marvin R. Swafford, 88, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017. Marvin was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and owned and operated a Swafford Dump Trucks business. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay F. Swafford; a daughter, Sarah Parten. Marvin is survived by his daughter, Diane; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Funeral services for Marvin will follow at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday at the North Chapel. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
