Emma Banks

Emma Jane Banks, 97, went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 14, 2017, after a brief illness. She was born Oct. 11, 1919, in Newnan, Ga., to the late Lewis and Mary Osborne. She was a member of Greater New Home Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish he memories a loving and devoted daughter, Jo Ann Banks; son, Robert Banks Sr.; grandson, Robert Banks Jr.; granddaughter, De’Niqua Banks; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Eddie B. Osborne, all of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held at noon Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, at Greater New Home Baptist Church with Elder G. M. Spotts officiating. Interment – Lakewood East. The body will lie-in-state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
