Harold Bowers

CHICKAMAUGA — Harold Dean Bowers, 65, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017. He was born in LaFayette, Ga., to the late Orvell "Cotton" Bowers and Jimmie Christine Dilbeck Bowers. He was a steel worker and enjoyed moving around to various places for work mostly with Lloyd Matthews Construction. He was of the Church of God faith and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Dewayne Bowers and niece, Melanie Bowers. He is survived by his sister, Rennia Abercrombie; brothers, Roger, Roland (Vicki), Wayne (Angela), Lee (Tammy), Albert, Dennis “Buddy” Bowers; uncles, Jerry (Delta) Bowers, Carl (Louise) Bowers, all of Chickamauga, Ga.; several nieces and nephews. A family memorial service will be held at the Bowers home. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Homes, J. Avery Bryan Chapel Chickamauga, Ga.
