Maxine Revis

DAYTON — Maxine Revis, 86, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017, at her home. She was born in Rhea County on Oct. 1, 1930, to Louis P. and Myrtis (Kelley) Wilson. Maxine was a homemaker and she loved fishing. She attended Bogles Chapel Baptist Church. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Luther A. Revis. She is survived by her daughters, Anita Hicks and Angie (Gary) Pritchett; her sons, Anthony (Polly) Revis and Rev. Aaron (Kim) Revis; four grandchildren, Ashley (Teddy) Engel, Lindsay (fiancé Seth Zimmerman) Hicks, Kanyon Revis and Chyanne Revis; one great-grandchild, Theodore Albert Engel IV; two sisters, Barbara Wampler and Joyce (Norman) Kilpatrick, both of Dayton and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Maxine will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with her son, Pastor Aaron Revis and her nephew, Pastor Rusty Revis officiating. She will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens followed by a white dove release. Please share your memories of Maxine on her online guest register at www.vanderwallfh.com.
