Frank Cordell

Frank James Cordell Jr., 95, of Lookout Valley, Tenn., passed away Monday morning, July 17, 2017. He was a graduate of Dade County High School Class of 1938. Mr. Cordell was a veteran of WWII serving in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He retired form Combustion Engineering Co. of Chattanooga, TN as a machinist. Mr. Cordell was a member of the Hill City Masonic Lodge #603, F&AM and York Rite College #152, Lookout Commandery #14, Knights Templar, Order of Eastern Star Lookout Valley Chapter #483. He was also a member of the Wauhatchie United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Cureton Cordell; son, James Ronald Cordell. Surviving include daughter, Karen (Robert) Hetzler, of Hixson, Tenn.; son, Charles (Faye) Cordell, of Lookout Valley; four grandchildren, Christopher Cordell, Kimberly Cooper, Stephan Hetzler and Philip Hetzler; great-grandson, Cody Cordell; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2017, in the chapel with Rev. Tommy Messer officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Garden West with Masonic Rites and full military honors.
