Lee Outley

Lee Outley, Jr., 50, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017, in the Hospice Care Center. He was a corrections officer at Silverdale Correctional Facility. As a New York native, he graduated from Immaculate High School. His contagious smile and laughter were always things to look forward to when speaking with him. He wouldn’t want us to remember the tears but the laughter and smiles we had the pleasure to share. Leo Outley Jr. was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Agnes Outley. Survivors include his loving wife, Falethia Gaines-Outley; father, Leo Outley Sr.; sisters, Marissa Outley-Jackson, of Piscataway, N.J., Valencia Outley-Grier and LaKeba Sharelle Outley, both of New York, N.Y.; brother, Joe Outley, of New York, N.Y.; children, Laila Ezetta Outley and Amari Leo Outley, both of NY; stepchildren, Falicia (Neil) Ellis, Nastashia Gaines, Michael Gaines, D’entourage (Veronica Dorse) Gaines, Aramis Gaines, all of Chattanooga; mother-in-law, Reva Boswell; sisters-in-law, Shaneka (Maurice) McDowell, Yaminha McCroskey, and Keosha Boswell, all of Chattanooga; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be Saturday at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Minister Billy Elliot, as the eulogist.
