LaFAYETTE — Warren "Sonny" Hardie Williams, 63, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017. Sonny enjoyed swimming, walking his dog, and nature. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hardie Williams and Gwendolyn Chandler Williams. Survived by his wife, Renee Bowers Williams; daughters, Paula Williams, Mendy Scott, and Ashley Gill; son, Justin Hilburn; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Sue Stephenson and Amy Williams; brothers, Gary Williams, Gregg Williams, Stanley Williams, and Rickey Williams; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2017, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Marion Webb officiating. Interment: Wood Station Cemetery. Pallbearers are Danny Snider, Justin Hilburn, Edward Love, Gregg Williams, Rickey Williams, and Keith Purcell. Visitation will be at the funeral home today from 6 to 9 p.m. Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
