Trecia Asher

LaFAYETTE — Trecia Whitten Asher, born Feb. 28, 1970, moved to heaven on Monday, July 24, 2017. Trecia was a member of Linwood Baptist Church where she enjoyed worshipping the Lord. Her pastor and church family were very special to her and she loved them dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Faye Whitten; and niece, Gracie Faye Howell. Trecia is survived by her husband, Brent Asher; her sisters, Sandy (Frankie) Jones and Cheryl (Tony) Hughes; her brother, Brian (Angie) Whitten, all of LaFayette; children, Justin Asher and Tia Mast; four grandchildren, Payton, Laine, Dixie Mast, Savannah Asher and Jensine Bennett, whom she loved like a daughter; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2017, at Linwood Baptist Church with Pastor Jon Alverson officiating. Interment in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Taylor Whitten, Tyler Asher, Jarrod Haney, Ethan Haney, Travis Howell, and Seth Alpha. Visitation 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home; Trecia will lie-in-state Thursday at Linwood Baptist Church from 1 p.m. until time of service. Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
