James Batten

James Batten Sr., 77 of Ooltewah passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017, at his residence. He was a member of Shelter Church, a Mason, and he retired as an electrical engineer from TVA and then MESA. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Batten; children, Jim (Paige) Batten, Sherry Barnard, Cristal Batten; grandchildren, Ashley (Michael) Holwerda, Chase, Chad, Somer, and Sydney Batten; sisters, Lucille Rollins, Ann (Thomas) Arnold, and Eloise Edenfield; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2017, in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. John Mercer officiating. Visit www.heritagechattanooga.com to share condolences with the family.
