Ron Harvey

Ronald “Ron” W. Harvey Jr., 73, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away, Saturday, June 24, 2017, at his residence. He was the son of the late Ronald and Evelyn Harvey and was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Harvey. Ron was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in Vietnam. He worked many years in auto sales prior to retiring from DHL. He was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include his wife, Cindy Goodson, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two daughters, Shannon (Eric) Harvey, of Wildwood, Ga., Stephanie (Jason) Pierce, of East Ridge, Tenn., son, Anthony (Katie) Goodson, of Gulf Shores, Ala.; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2017, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with James “R.T.” Templeton officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at the funeral home.
