Antonia Moten

Antonia Regina Moten, 53, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017. She was born on July 4, 1963, in Bogalusa, La., to the late Luther and Essie Holmes Hart. Her husband, Willie Moten, son, Justen Hart, grandson, Anthony Carree, preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn (Anthony) Nicholson, LaTasha Hart, and Tia (Walter) Fortson, of Chattanooga; son, Anthony Hinton, of Knoxville, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren, Aleyah, Vanshun, Destiny, Diamond, Walter III, Adrian, Antonio, Autumn, Veronica, Akaylah, and Brooklyn; two great-grandchildren, Mi’cah and Remi; sister, Antoinette Hart, of Chattanooga; brother, Larry Hart, of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; aunts, Mary Gustus, of Chattanooga, and Jannie Ruth Holmes Harris, of Illinois; two close friends, LaFonda Witcher and Angela Cowan; a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017, at noon at the New Anointing Pure Holiness Church, 420 North Holly Street, Chattanooga, Tenn., with Pastor Corey Prather and other ministers officiating. Her remains will lie-in-state at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour. Interment, Highland Cemetery.
