Ken Regal

Ervin Kenneth Regal, 85, passed away on March 23, 2017, in Chattanooga, Tenn. Ken was born in 1931 in Oconto Falls, Wisc., he married his wife Sue, in 1950 while at Emmanuel Missionary College (Andrews Univ.) and they lived in Orlando, Fla., from 1959 to 2010. They were active members of Orlando Central Adventist Church and Forest Lake Adventist Church. He was an aerospace engineer at Martin-Marietta for 13 years; he then founded and operated Alpha Manufacturing Inc. in Orlando for almost 30 years. Alpha was a metal fabrication business; specializing for many years in building stainless steel toll booths for roads such as the Florida Turnpike. He contributed his engineering talents to church and school projects; notably Camp Kulaqua cafeteria and Forest Lake Church youth building. He and his wife also operated Regal Mobile Home Park. They retired to Apison, Tenn., in 2010 to be closer to family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Sue McPeck Regal. He is survived by his second wife, Ivy Brooks; and his children, Ruth Regal, Montebello, Va., Connie (Gary) Walls, Apison, Tenn., David Regal, Orlando, Fla., and Renee (Terry) Scott, Knoxville, Tenn. He was the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 26, at Collegedale SDA Church.
