Nancy Metcalf

Nancy Runyan Metcalf, 93, passed away, Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, in hospice care. She was born in Bridgeport, Ala., and resided in the Chattanooga area for over 70 years. She was retired after working at Red Bank City Hall, Hamilton County School System and the Soddy-Daisy School System. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Francis McQuellan “Mack” Metcalf. She is survived by three sons, Steve (Sheryle) Metcalf, of Sylva, N.C., David (Kate) Metcalf, of Nashville, Tenn., and Tim Metcalf, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Andrew Metcalf, Marcus Metcalf, Lee Metcalf and Amy Metcalf; and four great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel. The graveside service will be held following the visitation Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bill Harvey officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the ministries established by two of her grandsons serving children and families in Guatemala and the Smoky Mountains: We Help Children (418 Linden Street, East Earl, PA 17519) or HIGHTS (P.O.
